As walleye are often nomads and hard to locate on a consistant basis, your electronics become more important than ever. Learn your sonar unit and all its features by spending some time in the boat without your rods and tackle. I know it's difficult to be in the boat without a line in the water but becoming more familiar with your sonar unit will help you to better utilize all its settings and functions, making fish and fish holding structure easier to locate.
